Have self-knowledge: show metacognitive awareness; perceive the personal style, prejudices, projections, and habits of mind that both shape and impede our own understanding; be aware of what we do not understand; reflect on the meaning of learning and experience 1.  Each student will need a  3-ring binder for their "Civics Notebook".   The notebook is designed to help organize the student and the material necessary to be successful in this class.  It will also help monitor student progress.  This is also a great communication tool for parents to better gauge their child's progress in Civics. 2.  Each student will be issued a Civics Workbook that correspondence with his/her textbook.   3.  Any assignment that the student is not able to complete in class becomes homework to complete to turn in the following class unless otherwise noted by the teacher.
