End of School Year Procedures<\/h2>

As we near the end of the school year, I would like to remind you that your child\u2019s medication should be picked up from the clinic by 5\/30\/2025 before 1:00 pm.\u00a0 School policy does not allow for medication to remain in the school over the summer.\u00a0 Emergency medications may be sent home with your student, however any prescriptions such as ADD\/ADHD medications, may not.\u00a0 If you cannot pick up your child\u2019s medication before 5\/30\/2025, please call the clinic and I will make other arraignments. Any medication left in the clinic after 5\/30\/2025 will be discarded according to policy.<\/p>

As you know, medication orders must be completed every school year whether your child remains in the same school or goes to another.\u00a0 You can find these forms on the school website.\u00a0 If your child has a physical examination during the summer months, this is a good time to get the medication forms completed.\u00a0 Please visit the school website for current forms for next year.\u00a0<\/p>

For your convenience, the clinic will be open August 7th<\/sup>\u00a0& 8th<\/sup>\u00a0to accept your child\u2019s medication and completed medical forms for the 2025\/2026 school year.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

6th Grade Screening -Winter 2026<\/strong><\/h2>

The St Johns County School District Health Services will be conducting our annual health screening on February 3rd<\/sup>, 2026<\/strong>.\u00a0 These screenings will be conducted through your student\u2019s PE class and is only for 6<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0grade students<\/strong>.\u00a0 Your student will be offered a free screening that includes height, weight, vision, hearing, and scoliosis.\u00a0 If you wish to opt out of the testing, please\u00a0fill out the form<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and return it to the clinic no later than January 20th<\/sup> 2026<\/u><\/strong>. \u00a0You can have your student drop the form off in the clinic or email it to:<\/p>

Upcoming School Year<\/strong><\/h2>

Students entering 7th grade next year will need to provide the school Guidance department proof of their Tdap vaccine before they can receive their schedule for the 2025\/2026 school year. It is not too early to take care of this requirement. You can take your student to their private physician, the St. Johns County Health Department, or a walk-in clinic. If you choose to go to a walk-in clinic, a receipt will NOT be accepted as proof of the Tdap vaccine.\u00a0The vaccine must be documented on a Florida shot record (FL \u2013 680) and brought to school.<\/strong>\u00a0If you have any questions, call Nurse Kelly at 547-8628.<\/p>
