Mission Statement

The mission of the Switzerland Point Media Center is to inspire a love of reading, foster critical thinking, and support lifelong learning. We aim to provide a welcoming space filled with diverse resources and innovative technology. We empower students to explore their interest, collaborate with peers, and develop essential skills for the future. We strive to create a community where every student feels valued and equipped to succeed.

Policies and Procedures

  • Students can check out up to 2 books at a time.
  • Regular books are due every 4 weeks.
  • SSYRA books are due every 2 weeks. 
  • Students can renew books as many times as needed, as long as another student is not waiting for it. 
  • The media center is open every day from 7:10am until 2:00pm.
  • Students can visit the media center in the morning, after school, during lunch, or from any class as long as they have a signed blue pass. 
  • Each student also has the opportunity to visit the media center monthly with their ELA classes.

Did your student lose or damage a book? Pay for it here! You MUST send your SchoolPay receipt to Ms. Gowin to get it removed from your student's library account.
